Looking for a fun, Algebraic Expressions and Equations Craft Activity for 7th grade? Students will be able to show their creativity as they complete this 12-sided geometric figure.     Each side of the dodecahedron (12-sided figure) has a different activity for students to complete. When finished they can fold each piece on the flaps and glue together. You can keep them busy and engaged as they work on their geometric figures, and review algebra concepts. Completed dodecahedrons can be hung around the classroom as colorful decorations.

Each side activity:

1. Write a one-step equation with multiplication or division and solve, showing each step.
2. Write a one-step equation with addition or subtraction and solve, showing each step.
3. Show the steps to solve the given 2-step equation.

      4. Define “algebraic expression”.

      5. Solve the given distributive property problem.

      6. Combine like terms in the given expression.

      7.  Solve and graph an algebraic inequality.

      8.  Convert a sentence, written in words, to a number sentence.

      9.  Evaluate an algebraic expression in two variables.

      10.  Solve a word problem using algebra.

      11.  Solve an algebraic equation by using the distributive property and combining like terms.

      12.   Title :  “Algebraic Expressions and Equations”.

         Includes blank pieces to create your own activities.
