Description

Looking for a lesson to teach subtracting integers? Once students are proficient at adding integers, and understand the process of subtracting integers conceptually, they can then be taught to subtract integers by learning some simple rules. Learning to easily change their subtraction problem to an addition problem will help them master this skill quickly. This slide deck gives students examples of how to easily do this by adding an addition sign after the first number, or by changing 2 negatives to a positive. Product includes a printable foldable for the interactive notebook and 2 printable worksheets. See my other products that teach students to subtract integers conceptually with moveable integer chips.

Teacher Key and Video Instructions included.
