💲Are you looking for a no-prep lesson to teach students how to calculate tips, sales tax, commissions, and simple interest? Once students understand percentages and how to use them, it’s important to give them some real-life examples. Students will learn the meaning of tips, sales tax, and commissions, and how to calculate each. They will learn the formula (I = PRT) for finding simple interest, and use algebra to solve for the unknown. After some practice, students will solve a riddle by answering questions from a word problem correctly.

A teacher key and video instructions are included.

The lesson also includes 4 printable foldables for the student notebooks or colored to be hung in the classroom, and a printable worksheet to follow the digital lesson.
