Description
Deep, deep under a meadow full of swaying grass and dandelions, in a cozy little home dug from the dark earth, lived a mole named Molly. And Molly loved her burrow. She loved the smell of damp soil and sweet roots. She loved her pantry, always filled with crunchy beetles and juicy worms. She loved her bed, a soft little nest of moss and dried leaves.
Molly loved almost everything about her home… except for one thing. The dark.
It was a deep, velvety, inky kind of dark that seemed to swallow every little sound. It was the kind of dark that made the familiar corners of her own home feel strange and a little spooky. Molly was just so tired of being scared of the dark.
But Molly was a clever mole, and she had a brilliant, wonderful, shimmering plan. She read that the sun and the moon hold light and she would tunnel to see them. She would bring light to her life.
