Description

This is everything you need to review the First Grade Florida State Standard MAFS.1.MD.2.a, or Common Core Standard CCS.MATH.1.NBT.C.4 and CCS.MATH.2.MD.C.8, which deal with identifying and combining values of money in cents up to one dollar working with a single unit of currency, identifying the value of coins (pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, computing the value of combinations of coins (pennies and/or dimes), and relating the value of pennies, dimes, and quarters to the dollar (e.g., There are 100 pennies or ten dimes or four quarters in one dollar.) This does not contain decimals, as this is above the level of first or second grade.

Students will listen to clues that tell how many of certain types of coins that you may have and they will need to calculate the total amount of money. (i.e. 3 dimes and 1 penny = 31 cents)

This can be used for review before a test, spiral review throughout the year, or can be modified to use as a center or station activity.

Meet the Seller

Hi, I'm Casey, owner of Collaborative Class Curriculum, a teacher resource shop! I have taught grades K-6 in the classroom, worked as a K-6 math instructional coach, and served as a District Elementary Curriculum Specialist. After adopting my twin nieces, who had many developmental and language delays, I was inspired to pursue my PhD in Special Education concentrating in Early Childhood and Early Literacy and Language Development. I began Fall 2022 at the University of Florida and an working on my dissertation. I am so excited to create and share my resources with you to help support you and your students for years to come. Most of my resources are things that I have either used as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, curriculum specialist, or as a early literacy tutor, so you know that they are tried and tested before I upload them for you.
