(If your students are younger, you can delete the section on negative numbers). The lesson uses zoo animals to show why box puzzles work, and students can also create their own box puzzle.
✅”Box Puzzles 2″ is lesson teaching students to use box puzzles to solve addition of a series of numbers. When they complete the practice problems, they will have a method for adding all the even numbers between 1 and 100!!
✅”Box Puzzles 3″ teaches students to use more advanced box puzzles. These box puzzles build on the puzzles introduced in the first Box Puzzles lesson. Area Models and Distributive Property are used to explain how these puzzles work.
