Learning the music alphabet is easy, right? Just seven letters. However, if your students are like mine, a lot of repetition is needed to solidify the music alphabet – especially knowing the alphabet backwards!
ARTISTIC ALPHABET is a great & versatile game to use to introduce or review the music alphabet. When a student selects a card, the student has to determine what letter is missing in the series of letters (ex. D, E, ___, G). When the student correctly says “F”, the game marker gets moved to the corresponding letter on the game board. If a picture card is drawn (like a paint palette), the student would move to that space on the board – forward or backward. It’s super fun to play!
Teachers can switch up the game by using the cards BACKWARDS – – so two games for the price of one!
