Description

The ESL Quick Tips Look Book product line of foldable books is geared to the adult ESL learner looking for a simple way to help make sense of and, finally, to master the trickier parts of the English language.

Each topic book has three parts.

  • First, the Topic Cards with the use and examples of how to use the topic in conversation.
  • Second, the Tip Cards which give further explanation of the topic plus tips on how to remember the use, with examples.
  • Third, the Practice Cards give plenty of opportunity to use the grammar topic in practical ways while enhancing the student’s observational skills and ability to process what has been observed to put it to use in real conversations.

The ESL Quick Tips Look Book series of foldable books are designed to be used, either individually or bound together, as a quick reference for different aspects of English that constantly confuse students of English. These books are designed to be used in several ways to make an adaptable form of self-checking or dynamic classroom activity for the adult learner.

Suggested Use

  • As a learning tool, either in groups or individually. Teachers can use these in group activities to solidify the topic when taught in the classroom because the practice cards give you plenty of exercises.
  • Independent students can use these books as in-depth flash cards to supplement their self-study efforts.
  • Clip the books together and keep them with you for quick reference. I create similar sets for my own self-study efforts when learning a language, then use them as a pocket drill kit for when I have a few extra moments (like when I am on the train or waiting for an appointment).

Student Will Practice:

  • An isolated rule of English grammar in depth
  • Observational skills to be able to understand the context of situations

What a lovely book! I have used this with my ESL students and they love how hands-on and tactile the book is.  The information is thorough and comprehensive as well.  My students use this as a study guide and they have had so much fun reviewing these tricky topics. Thanks for the great explanations and examples!

Meet the Seller

At @CE Educational Resources (that’s pronounced “ace” as in acing a test), every product is designed around two guiding principles: 1) Is it intelligent, clear, helpful, and comprehensive? And 2) Does it meet the needs of today’s adult English language learners and/or their teachers? If it doesn’t, it doesn’t get released. Because, you see, the goal here, at @CE Educational Resources, is to produce educational resources that take you - the student - beyond the simple mechanical aspects of the English language (which is where proficiency stops) and lead you into the world of true fluency in the language of native-English-speakers. And, Teachers, you win too because you’ll be getting solid, reliable resources you can count on that challenge your adult students and treat them with the respect they deserve.
