Do you have older students working on lower grade skills? Age appropriate problem examples and no clipart. The grade level is not clearly marked on the page, so students don’t feel self conscious about their individual levels.
Special care was also taken in writing these word problems to use a diverse set of names and topics. Care was taken to not have easily guessed patterns; for example, addition problems always having more or total and subtraction problems always having the higher number first. Uncluttered with easy to read fonts.
